The students were given a Video Guide and they watched Part Two of the documentary "Why We Fight" by Larry Jarecki. The documentary examines the question...Why does America fight or get involved in World Affairs? (American Foreign Policy). The film examines the past 50 years of America's Foreign Policy and our recent involvement in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The instructor is using the film as an opposing viewpoint to the Choices Materials on Iran and a tie-together with the information on Iraq that students covered at the beginning of the year. The students will be using the information with their Iran Project next week and Socratic Seminar debate on Friday, May 28, 2010.
