Today, the instructor picked up with the lecture and student discussion focusing on the details surrounding Unrestricted Submarine Warfare, the Zimmerman Note Telegram, and Woodrow Wilson's Declaration of War. In addition, the instructor discussed with the students the effects of the Russian Revolution on the balance of power and the initial reparations at the close of Armistice Day (November 11, 1918).

Before the close of the period, the students and the instructor evaluated the intentions and goals of Woodrow Wilson's Fourteen Points against the causes of World War I (Nationalism, Imperialism, Militarism and Alliances).
