Today, the students worked on an in-class reading activity together that focus on the development of mechanized factories in England and their social impact on cities and their populations (urbanization, sanitation, pollution, housing shortage, etc). The materials were used in class to answer the posed questions from the readings (materials should be saved for class notebook in Unit 4).

- Before I became a high school history teacher, I spent 14 years in the corporate world where I specialized in Healthcare Administration. In addition, I spent 3 1/2 years participating in professional sports (Satellite Professional Tennis Tour and Professional Golf Mini-Tours). In 2005, I found I really loved working in the classroom, so I returned to graduate school to earn my Masters degree in Education.
