Today, the students worked in their assigned table groups to prepare for the Jeopardy Final Exam Review Game. Each team will earn (at least) 5 points Extra Credit towards their overall course grade...with 10-30 points available for finishing in 1st-5th place during the competition. The students were using their Final Exam Study Guides to prepare for Thursday and Friday's game.
Zero Period will be playing Jeopardy on Wednesday...since their Final Exam and District Assessment for Q4 are on Thursday and Friday this week.

Students began the period by presenting their Iran Group Projects (Groups 1-3). They each displayed their 5 minute PowerPoint presentation on the assigned political viewpoint with regards to US-Iran relations. The group portion of the project is worth 60 points.
Following the group presentations...the students participating in a Socratic Seminar on US-Iran relations looking at a solution for the growing hostility in the region. This portion of the Iran Project grade is 40 points...giving the Iran Project-Socratic Seminar a potential of 100 points in total. Students were asked to complete a Summative Exit Ticket for the Socratic Seminar as a portion of the individual grade.

The instructor was out of the classroom today due to a Social Science Meeting regarding Becoming a Historian Project (District Exam Analysis and Curriculum).
The students continued working on their Choices Program Unit materials for Iran (with the substitute teacher). Today, the students were to focus on the past 60 years of Iran's history and how the leadership of the Shah eventually developed into the Iranian Revolution under Ayatollah Khomeini.
